2. What information we collect.
Except in the case of Third Party Services (described below), we do not collect personally identifiable information about you, such as your name or address. When you download, log in to or use our application, we might collect, store and use your unique device identifier (UDID) to identify your device; however, we will not link your UDID to any of your personally identifiable information we may collect.
We also collect, store and use certain anonymized technical information (which, in addition to your UDID, may include your IP address, mobile device type, mobile operating system and the country in which your device is registered or located), so that we can deliver a better experience to you. We may also use analytics tools and services, server log files and tracking technologies provided by third parties, to collect and analyze the information we collect. These third party service providers use standard data collection methodologies that might include tags and cookies that are sent to your device through our applications. In some cases when technical or usage information is provided to us by these third party tools or services, we may link that information to your UDID for our internal use only.
We may also collect or receive information from other sources, including other users of our applications who choose to upload their email contacts or friends lists, and third party information providers.
You can avoid most data collection if you use our application in the off-line mode by turning off your device s wi-fi connection or changing other settings on your device, but if you do so, the features of the application will be limited.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children 13 years of age or under. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us (email@example.com) so we can promptly obtain parental consent or remove the information. If we learn that we may have collected such information, we will promptly take all steps to remove the information from our records. We recommend that children over 13 but under 18 obtain parental permission before submitting any information about themselves to any third parties, including us.
3. How we use your information.
We do not share personally identifiable information (such as name, address, phone numbers or email address) with any third parties.
We may share personally identifiable information you have provided to us and other anonymous information and aggregated data with our affiliated companies for purposes of internal marketing studies, to customize products and services that we offer to you, to learn about and resolve problems with our applications, to administer our applications and to develop new products and services. We may use your personally identifiable information to contact you about the use of our applications or to notify you about changes in our policies, products or services.
We may make personally identifiable and anonymous or aggregated information available to third parties in the following limited circumstances: (1) with your express consent; (2) when we have a good faith belief it is required by law or the legal process; (3) when we have a good faith belief it is necessary to protect our rights or property, or the safety, rights or property of our customers and users; or (4) to any successor or purchaser in a merger, acquisition, liquidation, dissolution, sale of assets, or similar event. Your consent will not be required for disclosure in these cases, but we will attempt to notify you, to the extent permitted by law to do so. We also will attempt to require any such third party to agree to maintain the confidentiality, security and integrity of any personally identifiable information transferred or shared for these purposes.
4. We keep data for an indefinite time.
We will keep information we collect for as long as you use our application and for a reasonable time thereafter to meet our business needs.
5. We take reasonable steps to secure the information we collect.
We will take reasonable steps to secure any personally identifiable information we may collect against unauthorized access or disclosure by using industry-standard SSL encryption to protect the information during collection and transmission. Information we collect is stored in secure operating environments that are only accessible by authorized persons. However, no security or encryption method can be guaranteed to protect information from hackers or human error. We encourage you to take steps to keep your personal information safe (including account passwords) and to logout of your accounts after use.
The servers on which we collect, store and use the information we collect or receive may be based in North America, Asia, Europe and elsewhere. Information we collect, which may include your personal information, may be transferred to, used, processed or held by us in these locations.
